Hi Larry, if it is PC tune up that you are using, I just got off the phone with 2 AVG support techs and Dell for my laptop doing the same thing!! After 4 hours, NO ONE COULD HELP ME!! So I go the AVG website and there my question is under PC tune up issues!!! and it says how to fix it! press the space bar repeatedly when it starts the scan!! Holy Cow it worked!!! The article is right there!
SO WHY IS IT THAT THE AVG SUPPORT TECHS DO NOT KNOW THIS???
ALSO WHY CAN YOU NOT GET SOMEONE WHO SPEAKS CLEAR ENGLISH WHEN YOU CALL FROM AMERICA???
Hello Larry. Sorry to hear that. May I know which AVG Program you have installed on your PC? Is it AVG PC TuneUp or AVG Driver Updater? Is it a trial or paid version?
AVG stops scanning and repairing drives; gets up to about 10% scanned and then stops and shuts off my computer. Win 8.1. Now it does not even begin to scan but shuts off immediately. Cannot even start safe mode.
