Scan and Update stuck on 'a few seconds ago'

FreeAVG user here, same problem. I guess it's just a small bug and AVG will fix it.

Repairing it from the control panel doesn't work! as the original post told you).The problems described (which I also have) remain the same after repairing it. AVG is supposed to be investigagating this. It's clear that the latest AVG Free update contains the errors described and that they need to be corrected by AVG.

I was knocked off the internet a few days ago after an Update and since then the Last Scan and Last Virus Definition stay at 'a few seconds ago' which is wrong.

I certainly understand this must be upsetting and I appreciate your patience so far. On checking the case number #05107873 I see that the case has been escalated to the developer's team and they are working on this case. They will analyze the log files and reply back to us soon.

There seems to be a lot of people with the same problem including myself . Have run repair etc and no luck.  I am tempted to do an uninstall/reinstall but the last time i did that, my subscription disappeared and took a while to sort it out. I notice the last reply above from Avg points to a windows conflict surely the conflict is Avg. The software was working ok to a degree before the Sept update. It seems to take ages before Avg can sort things out .

I am sorry to hear about that. This must be an user interface issue, our developers are working on it and should be fixed at the earliest. Please let me know if you have an issue with updating AVG virus or program definitions or running virus scan.

Hello again!  I have already performed a 'Repair' but the issue persists.
So, as things stand at the moment i have 4 issues with my AVG Internet Security:-
1.-  Scan and Update stuck on 'a few seconds ago'.
2.-  I have only just realised today that my Scheduled Scan has not run automatically.
3.-  The Progress Bar does not work when my Scheduled Scans run autmatically (as up to yesterday)
4.-   Still awaiting reply to my reply to you (at AVG) Request #05107873 sent to you on Thursday 31 August 2017.  I would at least expect acknowledgement that you have received my emailed reply.

I understand your concern. We have received the result of analysis and the issue seems to have caused due to an windows conflict. We suggest you to contact Microsoft support with the error as file:///C:/$Windows.~BT/Sources/SafeOS/SafeOS.Mount/. They will provide you a solution for this.
