Hi Adrian, I will help you resolve the issue, it seems the schedule scan has run successfully as the history shows that it started at 2 am,there might be a possibility that your computer might have gone to sleep mode after finishing the scheduled scan or the scan would have not completed, could you please run the scan before you shutdown the system and check whether AVG Completes the scan and also check for scan report.
The "unscheduled" update was a minor problem. What about my computer not letting me in after/while AVG was scanning? THAT WAS A BIG DEAL!
I have a free version of avg on my new computer to see if its working any better than it has in past years. And if it works better I'd consider buying a licscense.
Last night at 2 am was the first scheduled scan. I don't know if the scan ever completed because I don't see any report of it completing… The history says it started at 2 am. What was worse is I could not login to my computer in this morning. I had to force my computer to turn off and then restart it. THEN AVG thought that apon restarting that was a good time to run some update. AND It seems I can't rescedule these definition updates.
The bottom line…when I sit down to my computer to work I need AVG to get out of the way. If AVG is listening. I need a solution to fix this stuff and make it behave or I will uninstall at this time next Thursday if I have problems again.
Hi Adrian, I apologize for the inconvenience, please update the AVG program and check whether everything is running fine ? and also check if your AVG Schedule scan settings are changed after you restart the computer ?
