Scan Notification seemingly incorrectly says file has macros

Hello Paul. It is to keep you informed that macros are automated actions that can be included in some documents, such as MS Excel or MS Word files. Most macros are harmless, and all known malicious macros are detected by AVG and automatically removed.
When AVG informs you that a document contains a macro and the document comes from a trusted source, no action is necessary.

Whole computer scan generated 200 notifications, most of which said a file:

"Contains macros";"Notification";"Unresolved";"Message"
I checked a couple of xls files (via ALT+F8) and no macros.  Am I missing something?
