Scan problems with AVG Anti-Virus for Mac

I am having a similar problem… on a brand new mac book pro… avg was the first thing i did and it is conected to the zen network as well…

My AVG Anti Virus for Mac scans reach 99% then takes forever to finish.

This is without external hard drives plugged in and seems to cover mobile back ups by the time it exceeds 99% of the process.

Is there an obvious problem causing this and a solution?

I regret for the inconvenience caused. Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall your AVG Antivirus as per the steps mentioned in previous post? If you haven't tried that, I request you to follow those steps and check if it works.
