Hello George,
This isn't the experience we want you to have and I apologize for the inconvenience caused. In the current release, AVG User Interface will show the “Last scan run” data only if you press "Scan Computer" floating button and not for any other scans. However, in the upcoming release of AVG the quick scan, deep scan and full comp scan or scheduled scan should be updated too.
Have you enabled the "Generate report file" option to save the scan report? Please refer this article https://help.avg.com/en/avg_free/17/settings_task.html - and follow the steps under Report file.
If you face any difficulties, please provide the screenshot [http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot] of this location C:\ProgramData\AVG\Antivirus\report to check and assist further.
I have always had AVG scanning daily at 0300, except on Saturdays. Yet regularly when clicking on AVG when it comes on it tells me that the last scan was, for example, 21 days ago. How is that possible ? I since found out that if the PC goes to sleep this schedule doesn't work, however my PC never goes to sleep. It's on 24/7 except for the period from Friday Sunset till Saturday night darkness. So how come?
Secondly I finally found out by sheer perseverance that to get a scan report I must do all iknds of actions, which I did, however no report. The help screen told me that any report can be found on C:\ProgramData\AVG\Antivirus\report, however my computer cannot find any such folder so it does not exist. Then in one of your answers to someone with a similar problem you say that the report can be found on C:ProgramDataAVGAntivirusreport (note the absence of the backslashes) however this also does not exist. Please sort this out. By the way I find the most advanced system with all the bells and whistles that you offer and I subscribe to is absolutely NOT user friendly.
George, If applicable… For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
