Thank you for the basic response. Like I stated, I have read about the space bar and It keeps looping back to the same 10% screen. It was doing a disk defrag just before this happened. I have let it set overnight and now the screen shows - - - Automatic Repair Automatic Repair couldn't repair your PC Press "Advanced options" to try other options to repair your PC or "Shut down" to turn off your PC. Log file: C:\WINDOWS\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt (see attached pic) Hope this info will be able to get my computer back to running again. Thanks in advance.

This process usually take time to complete.
If it doesn't proceed after 10% for a long time, then tap "SPACE" key repeatedly until you get the windows loading screen.

HELP - my computer is stuck in a loop of - Scanning and repairing drive (C:): 10% complete. Just installed my purchased Ultimate AVG. I have read discussions about this and can't get out of it. Trying to protect my computer and now I can't even use it. I have to use another computer just to get this message out.
