Scanning Documents Programmatically

Hi.

The company I work for uses AVG Business Edition. We have developed a web service which among other things lets customers upload documents. We would like to scan those documents before we push them to a database.

Is there some form of API which lets us use AVG from within our code? A command line tool which would tell us OK / not-OK would already be enough. The important thing is that it can't have any GUI or show any pop-ups and such, since it would run on our web server.
