Usually when I download my emails to my outlook express… the 40 odd plus emails just …zip right in in under a few seconds to 20 seconds … But lately I have found that with the option of scanning the emails with avg… is the culprit … So I have to always go in and turn off AVG for 10 minutres to get this chore done … This is not the first time this has happened … It usually ( the problem described) happens after a few months of when AVG is installed … ( if I format harddrive and reinstall AVG the problem goes away for a few months … until it returns … It has now returned again and I am not in a position to format the harddrive at this time … So what can be done … If I turn off this feature I have a yellow excalimation point though the icon of avg next to or in my taskbar … I am using windows XP pro with SP3 and all updates in place …
