Hi,

I scanned my 1 terabyte external hard drive and it took about 5 seconds each time.  I think that's much too short a time for an almost full terabyte drive.  Any comments or suggestions as to how to make sure the scan has worked properly so not to let viruses onto my computer?

I am using the File or Folder scan as directed by AVG Customer Service.

Thank you for the information. Please be informed that the AVG scan might complete soon, if the data stored in this external hard drive are less. If you still suspect the scan is not working properly, we suggest you to open the right click on the external drive from "Windows Explorer" and then select the option "Scan the driver using AVG". And check how the scan gets complete.
