Andy, For help on your issue please try unticking 'Scan system environment' in 'Scan settings'.

The detect & repair function in AVG 2015 Free apprears to be flawed. As it scans & repairs my c: drive, it freezes at 10%. I've tried rebooting, unplugging the power source & battery and rebooting and starting in safe mode, but it keeps stalling at 10%. Anyone have any suggestions?

I can't get there. The scan and repair initiates upon reboot. It stalls at 10%, so the computer never boots up into Windows. My laptop is totally worthless.
