Have you tried to reinstall AVG Anti-virus on Mac and check whether schedule scan is working fine? 

Once you remove the AVG Anti-virus from pc, please restart it. Then, try to install it. You can refer the following article to install AVG Anti-virus on Mac (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Install-AVG-Internet-Security).

I have the Free version for Mac that I just downloaded 03/21. I set up daily deep scan to scan every day at 2 am, I just looked  and it has never scanned.
Please advise
