Hello John,

I understand your concern. You can run the AVG Scheduled scan once in a week. And also make sure that your computer is not put to sleep mode or switched off in this scheduled time. If the scan is missed then it will run only in the next scheduled time. Always schedule the AVG scan when your computer is ideal, so it will not conflict or slow down your computer.

I have the system set to run a Scheduled Scan every day.
However this slows the m/c down & takes about 1 hour to run.
So advise please, how often should I carry out a "Scheduled Scan"?

Thanks, I'll reset the scan to do once weekly.
