I am sorry to know that.
You must have the AVG 2017 version installed.
Please open the AVG user interface and check whether you have "Menu" option at the top.
If you have please click on it and settings where you can find the updates option.
Regarding schedule scan, please click on settings icon near scan computer on dashboard.
You can find the settings for schedule scan, please click on it and setup the scan.
I had my computer set to do a scan every morning at 1am.
I did the last update and now everything has changed and my automatic updates are not being done nor can I find how to set them up -
