Scheduled scan takes more than 24 hours

I'm sorry to hear about this, AVG should not 24 hours to complete their schedule scan. Please share a screenshot of your AVG user Interface to assist you further. Thank you for providing me the screenshot.
I see that you're using an Older version of AVG Anti Virus Free, I request you to install the latest version and check the issue.

Once uninstalled, please install the latest version from http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Free

Hi,

I have noticed that my PC has been running extremely slow lately and I see that AVG seems to always be scanning. What I just figured it out is that for some reason the scheduled scans are now taking longer than 24 hours, so AVG is ALWAYS scanning.

I have been using AVG free for over 2 years now and this problem has never happened before.

Anyone else ever have this problem?  Thanks for your help!
