We understand your disappointment, we request you to repair avgclick.me/RepairAVG or reinstall your AVG Ultimate to fix this.
Download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe. This tool will help with removing antivirus component of AVG 2017 and its traces.
1.Open tool
2.User Account control - click "Yes"
3.Windows safe mode - click "No" (we cannot recommend use the tool in safe mode, because there is a problem with compatibility)
4.Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security)
5.Click "Uninstall"
6.Click "Restart computer"
After restart, run AVG Remover http://avgclick.me/UninstallAVGAV and remove all other supported products and remnants of AVG (ZEN, Framework).

Firstly I have a subscription for AVG Internet Security, why else would I be threatening to not renew in November 2017. I did manage to to follow your instructions but I don't see where to "Seelct Time" and when I click OK nothing seems to happen. I can't wait to see how many people in the next year just give up on AVG, you used to be what everyone recommended. You used to be heroes, now it's just Popups and Poor Service.
For years I set my scheduled scans to start every day at 23.59 hours ( when I'm asleep ) to turn off system when scan complete. Worked well for years, now not work. I do a manual scan and am told 'last scan done 24 days ago'! what's happening?
Your advice would be appreciated befor I consign AVG to the garbage bin!

After using and paying for AVG Internet Security for over 6 years I have uninstalled all AVG programs. Not only that but I did this with 3 months remaining that I paid good money for. Too many Pop-ups after turning off all Pop-ups, a grreat design that got too complicated and a company that doesn't seem to listen to it's customers. You were the best and most popular for a reason and then it seemed AVG only cared about 1 thing and that was selling as many different products as you could cram down our throats.
I have been using another product that came with a Free 30 Day Trial and after a week deicded to buy a license. I won't say who this company is but they were kind enough to add my remaining Free Trial dyas to my 1 year subscription. A few minor Pop-ups but they also have a great "Do Not Ask Again" option. Not only that but this top of the line Anti Virus provider was much less in price for 5 Devices.

We regret to hear about the inconvenience caused, AVG 2017 version Schedule scan will run in background, it will not notify in System tray AVG icon, however the Zen interface will show the scanning in progress. The scan notification in the AVG interface is about the manual scan and it is not for the scheduled scan. You can check the scheduled scan reports using the following instructions : Open AVG Zen -> Anti-Virus free -> Scan settings (Near Scan Computer) -> Schedule scan -> Report file -> Select time and generate the report of the scheduled scans.
