Hello George, I'm sorry to hear about this, please check the AVG 2017 schedule scan preferences here (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-start-or-plan-a-computer-scan). Also I would like to inform you that AVG 2017 schedule scan will run only when your computer is turned on (it will not run if your computer is on hibernate/power off/shut down).
