I pay for AVG's premium internet security. I just installed my new license and when I checked the scan schedule the last one noted was in January of 2016 and today is July 10, 2016. I have had this paid premium protection for several years & so was shocked to see that a regular scan had not been running.
In checking the help ection, I found that the paid program comes with scheduled scan disabled. That amazes me!! I pay for premium protection & so assumed that AVG was checking my system on a regular basis. Why should the user have to activate this action? Why also does the activation email not tell the user that this action has to be enabled. How AVG show my system with all green circles if it hasn't been checked it in 6 months! I am very sorry that I renewed this program & I will surely not renew it next year
Hello Kathy,
We do certainly understand your concern. Scheduled scans are not enabled automatically while installing the program because the scan timing differs from one user to another. The user who install the AVG program can set the scheduled scan's according to their convenience.
Please follow the instructions on the article http://avgread.me/1IFBzKT to start a scheduled scan. Please feel free to contact us for further assistance.
Thank you.
