Anybody please,  how do I set a schedule for scanning with AVG Internet Security ?

We are sorry for the confusion. Unfortunately, schedule scan isn't available for AVG Internet Security in Mac device.
Let us know if you have any other queries.

Please let us know the version of AVG that is installed on your computer (Open AVG Internet Security - Menu - About).
Also, share us the screenshot of the page that doesn't have the gear icon for better clarity.

I have no gear icon on the green button only 3 dots which does not include Custom Scan.
