I apologize for the inconvenience. Please repair AVG Internet security/ AVG Protection http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-repair-AVG from the control panel and then set a schedule scan to check. Once the scan starts, it will show an play symbol on AVG icon in the system tray.

I have scheduled the program to scan daily but I checked today and it has not scanned my PC for 4 days.
Why?
Also I tried several times to get onto livechat but the screen just shows the loading icon going over and over but it does not connect with livechat.
