Scheduling Scans

Hello Jeff,
We're glad to help you.
To create or customize the schedule scan, please follow the below steps,

  1. Open the AVG user interface and click the  icon (three dots) next to Run Smart Scan.
  2. Select Scheduled Scans.
  3. Click Create A New Scan.
  4. Enter a Scan name that will allow you to easily identify the scan, then use the drop-down menu to define the Scan type.
  5. Under Frequency, select how often the scan will automatically run. If you do not want the scan to run without you manually triggering it, select Never.
  6. If you configured your scan to run automatically, specify exactly when the scan will run by entering a Start time. Depending on the scan Frequency, you may additionally need to specify the Day of the week or the Day of the month that the scan runs.
  7. Optionally, configure Advanced settings for your scan.

We have scheduled our scans during overnight hours.  Beginning several months ago, the scans occur randomly which causes extreme performance slow-downs.  Where/how do I reset the schedule?  The personalization choices are no longer easily located.
