Thanks
I just installed AVG free for the first time on this computer a few days ago, and every time I shutdown, there is an annoying screen flash/flicker that occurs the instant I click on shutdown (or restart). I'm running Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) on a Dell XPS desktop with 4th gen i7 intel processor, 8 Mb RAM, and probably most relevant to the discussion, an NVIDIA GeForce GT 635 video card. Drivers are current. A search of Google revealed I am not the only one having this problem, but so far, I have not seen a solution. I tried uninstalling and re-installing AVG, but no good. AVG runs stable on my machine until I click on shutdown, but then the screen blinks (flashes) one big time sometimes followed by a few rapid quivers before the desktop goes away. It's almost like AVG doesn't like the connection broken. I have verified it is AVG causing this problem because this didn't occur until AVG was installed and the problem went away when I uninstalled AVG. Any help would be appreciated.
