Screensaver stopped working

Same problem here - Windows 7 SP1, since AVG Free updated to Vn 17.3.3011 my screensaver has never cut in.  Disabling AVG (set Protection to 'Off') has no helpful effect.

Very much appreciate that AVG Antivirus is a free and complex set of code, but Vn 17… has a number of issues…

My screensaver (Asus computer, Windows 10) has stopped working. Online techs say it's probably my anti-virus software interfering. Dunno, the screensaver has worked just fine until a couple of days ago. Anyone have any ideas?

…a little diagnostic information:  avguix (see the thread 'stealing focus') takes the focus from the current window/program every ten minutes (this is annoying…).  If the screensaver timeout is set to less than this ten minute interval the screensaver will be invoked.

Two issues therefore caused by one fault - AVG's avguix process is the source of both problems.  (And while I was typing this the focus was ripped away from this window… - really annoying)
