Morning Alan, Thank you for responding. All is now well. I found the "chat" function for AVG support and a lovely lady sorted it all out for me. I now have the license number recorded for my laptop as well as my PC and the "trial" message has now gone.

Alex, Which AVG product do you actually have installed on your PC?.

I clicked on the "invite another computer to join the network" on the pc and opened the email invite on my latop so I dont know why it has installed a 30 day trial version on my laptop when my PC subscription is good till May.
I've followed the FAQ which says I need to click on Options/Activate but I dont have that option on my second computer. In that section of the option menu I only have "my account" whereas on my PC i can see "Reactivate / register now / my account"
Does anyone know how to get this "activate" option up on the laptop?
