Secure VPN does not have a valid IP address

When I try to log into a hotspot wifi connection this message comes up.

It also came up for wifi - but I was directed to disable Ipv6, which removed that message.

What can I do regarding this? I have Windows 10 OS. 

I have previously connected to the same hotspot, so no sure what has changed.
