We recommend you to connect to servers which are P2P friendly and shouldn't block VPN traffic. You will find them when you open your AVG Secure VPN, click on Change Location and then tap P2P on the left corner of the software. They include servers which are in Czech Republic, Prague or France, Paris. Please try them all and let me know if there's any difference to your connection.
If the issue persists, please share the screenshot (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlname=AVG-Create-screenshot)of the message appear (that you refer) and the type of internet connection (wired or wireless) that you use.

I cannot connect to WiFi. Error message says secure vpn doesn't have a valid ip configuration
