Hello David,
You've reached the AVG community support forum.
Upon checking your account, we can see that you have an active AVG Ultimate (Multi-Device) subscription bundle.
From your description, we assume that you're referring to the built-in VPN premium feature available in our AVG Secure Browser Pro product (Paid).
Since you already have AVG Secure VPN installed & activated on your computer, you needn't purchase an AVG Secure Browser Pro subscription.
While the built-in VPN feature in AVG Secure browser Pro only masks the online/browsing activity done through AVG Secure browser Pro, AVG Secure VPN masks the online activity of your entire device.
Let us know if you have further queries.
Probably a stupid question (, Secure VPN has a Line out on the VPN Button) ,but why is this showing on my Browser.
I have the AVG VPN activated all the time so assume that is still protecting me

It's possible that the Line out on the VPN Button is indicating that the VPN connection is currently inactive or disconnected. This could happen if there was a connection issue with the VPN or if the VPN was manually turned off. It's important to ensure that the VPN is always active and protecting your online activity, so you may want to check the VPN settings to make sure everything is configured correctly.
