Secure VPN wont allow access to my home network!

When I turn on VPN it shows up as "Unidentified Network" and wont allow me to access other PCs' on my Home network or my NAS.
Anyone got any ideas/solutions?

Hello Stuart.
It is expected behavior because VPN creates encrypted connection to a server(IP) so other devices on your network are not accessible.

So to access any Network devices, you have to Turn off AVG Secure VPN.

Thanks Avinash for the quick reply.

You've helped me to understand VPN in a different way, in that it protects your location only when you're accessing the Internet and not when you're accessing your LAN. I think I was probably thinking of it as an alternative Firewall, which would be wrong.
