I am having the same issue as Andrew Taylor above. His issue was a whole year ago. I'm supposing he had his issue resolved. I am having the same issue. My Secure VPN won't open on my laptop.

I purchased AVGs Secure VPN a couple of months back and it had been working fine until recently. Now, when I click on open Secure VPN via AVG nothing happens - the icon for Secure VPN pops up on the toolbar as if it's running and then it dissapears after a second or two. Yesterday I ran the latest windows 10 updates and it starting working again but it's stopped working again today. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several time (the VPN and AVG) and I've enabled port clamping. I've run out if ideas, can anyone help?
