I have AVG, ZoneAlarm, & Hotspot Shield but they have been installed for years and I have never had this problem with AVG popup about security certificate. I can't help but think the problem is with AVG.

AVG issuing exipred certificate. outlook shows warning.
I use MS Outlook 2007 for email. Within the last 2-3 weeks(never happened before this) AVG has started popping up a warning about Security certificate cannot be verified. If I view the details it says the certificate is valid. I tried exporting the AVG certificate and importing it into Outlook but this has not fixed the problem. How do I fix this VERY ANNOYING problem???

May I know if the issue is resolved when AVG protection is disabled? Right click on AVG system tray icon and toggle the On/Off slider to disable AVG protection.

To check the version, open AVG program, click on "Menu->About".

Open AVG Internet Security, click on "Menu->Settings->Components->Email Shield->Customize->SSL Scanning".
Uncheck the option "Scan SSL Connections" and check if that stop the pop-up.

Please open AVG Antivirus free or AVG Internet Security program window.
Click on "Menu->About" and check whether it shows version as 20.8.
If not, please refer this article and perform the program update and then check the status with expired certificate message.

Al, disable the AVG from your computer and check for the issue again.
To disable the AVG:
Go to the system tray on the bottom left corner of your desktop and click on the arrow icon -> then right click on the AVG icon and turn off the protection.
Check for the issue again.
If the issue still persist, click on the view certificate and share us the screenshot.
