Thanks for your clarification for 1 and 2. With re Help, I have the latest s/w. I have now found the info about SDS in Help; no need to investigate it further.

I have still some questions about the functionality of SDS but I want to read all the info you provided and use this feature first. I may get back to you later with those questions.

Hi there,

So far I had not paid much attention to this feature. Just let AVG suggest protection for some of my documents and accepted them.
Now I wanted to learn how to use it more effectively so I looked into my AVG Help option from the menu and read some of the posts here, I learned that AVG had replaced some time ago Data Safe with S D Shield.

I am still unclear about this new feature and apparently I have some problems::
1) In some of the posts here I read that SDS encrypts your sensitive documents while other says it doesn't. Could you please clarify how it protects your documents.

2) The Help option from the Menu provides an explanation on how to use Data Safe (which is not available any longer) but I was not able after a search to find any reference to SDS. Maybe a have an out-of-date version of Help. Doesn't it update with the main software?

3) When I select Privacy > Sensitive Data Shield > Open, it starts a 'Loading' operation, which in my case lasts fro about 53 seconds before displaying a list of the protected documents. I can switch from one category (Employment to Travel, etc), displaying the relevant documents in each category but if I then select 'All' or 'Other Sensitive Documents', the screen seems to freeze. Is this a problem?

I'd appreciate your help with these questions.
