Sensitive documents

I have tried to follow the steps but I have basic protection rather than full protection. I cannot find the 'Sensitive data shield' option there. Should I look somewhere else under basic protection?

The options visible to me under basic protection are:
- detections
- file shield
- behavior shield
- web shield
- email shield
- scans

Hi Stan.
Sorry for the delay in responding to you. We'd like to clarify that customizing shield/scan functions is a paid feature and unfortunately, with the free version, this particular option is not a supported feature.
Appreciate your understanding.

Hi Stan,

Yes,you can disable the Sensitive data while scanning the computer.

Open AVG -> Settings -> Full protection -> Sensitive data shield -> Turn off the Sensitive documents

Then scan your computer.

Let us know, if you need further help.

Is there any way to exclude the 'sensitive documents' part of a scan? Every time I scan my pc it lists a number of so called sensitive documents. I've clicked on <protect all> which doesn't seem to do anything since the next time they just pop up again.

I don't really care for this part of the scan anyway, so I would rather get rid of it to speed up the scan times. I just want the 'Viruses & other malware' scan so if I can disable the 'sensitive documents' scan that would be great.

I don't really understand though, I don't want to use the feature… Is not using it only possible for the paid version? Usually you have to pay for extra features, and you're telling me I have to pay if I want to turn one off?

Stan, we could see that your are using the AVG AntiVirus free version.

Unfortunately, this feature is available only in the Paid version.

Thank you for understanding.
