Serious threat detected by another antivirus, but AVG/Avast missed it: What can I do

Hello AVG community,

I have been using AVG/Avast antivirus software for a while now and I recently noticed that my computer was acting strangely, with unusual pop-ups and slow performance. I ran a scan with AVG/Avast and it did not detect anything unusual.

However, when I decided to run a second opinion scan with another antivirus program, it found a serious threat on my computer. I was shocked to see that AVG/Avast had failed to detect this threat, which could have potentially caused serious damage to my system and data.

I am concerned that AVG/Avast may not be providing adequate protection to my system, despite being a reputable antivirus software. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with AVG failing to detect serious threats? Is there anything that I can do to improve the detection rate of my antivirus software?
