Hello Steven.
We'd request to open windows task manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), click 'Processes' tab, right click 'AVG Installation setup' if it is running and select 'End task'. Confirm it by clicking 'End process' in the next prompt. If this process it not running under 'Processes', restart your PC once.

Recently installed AVG free on desktop- - -today I clicked on set up (in error) trying to open & run program- - - -now have avg displayed on desktop, with sliding green bar going back & forth/unable to stop or delete it- - -How to fix?
