If you missed out any scan which you have scheduled , it will automatically start after rebooting your computer.
However there is no option to set scan after start up other than scheduling it.

In the old AVE Free set up you had the option to run a scan X hours/minutes after start up. This is missing from the newest build and I am wondering if there was a way to get something like it back?
I loved having the ability to start up my PC at 6am, go back to bed and by the time I wake up the scan was already done. But now if I DON'T get up and log in by the time the scan is set to start, 7am, my PC won't get scanned unless I am using it and that means I have to deal with a slowed down machine.
