It is not possible to set time and date for AVG TuneUp automatic maintenance.
Refer this FAQ and check the details under "Can I schedule AVG TuneUp to run automatically?" question.
You will come to know when does automatic maintenance starts.

The schedule is now running about an hour after I begin work, automatically closing Chrome, I work connected to a number of web based applications. In the past it would start in the middle of the night. How do i set the timing of the TuneUp schedule. In a message in April 2020 you said thet it would be added to version 20.1 I am on version 21.1 and cannot find that as part of my Settings

OK, this is ridiculous, because it will AVG tune up will interrupt whatever it is I'm doing.  This feature should be MANDATORY.  You should be able, as with the Anti-Virus program, to schedule when AVG Tune up automatically runs.

How do I set the scan time for AVG Tuneup?  I can't find any way to do it in the interface, and I just had the stupid thing close browser windows on me in the middle of work.

Regrettably, this feature (Scheduled maintanence) is yet to be introduced to the AVG TuneUp.
In this case, we'd request you to submit your feedback regarding this issue to our developers team directly.
You can submit your valued feedback from your AVG TuneUp program:
Open AVG TuneUp > Menu > About > Submit feedback.
