Hello Anthony. I apologize for the inconvenience caused. I request you to submit the file in this link : http://www.avg.com/submit-sample . If a false positive is confirmed, AVG database will be updated accordingly. Thank you.
We have an engineering analysis program that creates a folder with a package.exe file within it. This file triggers AVG (Free) realtime protection, prompting us to block or allow this file. We can control the folder to which this subfolder is written, so I set up an exclusion in AVG to this folder (let's call it C:\MyTemp), but being that this subfolder is named randomly, it still prompts us to about package.exe every time - the path that triggers the prompt reads something like C:\MyTemp\RandomlyGeneratedFolderName\package.exe , so simply adding an exclusion for C:\MyTemp doesn't do the trick.
Basically, I want AVG to disregard anything that happens in C:\MyTemp and all its subfolders and files . The analysis program file is always called package.exe , if that helps us set up some sort of other exclusion. Naturally, we do not want to exclude all .exe files, just this one.
Thanks,
Anthony M.
