Everyone, I had this problem and it was not only with AVG but also with a website that I was trying to order Bison meat, they where both sending me this message. The problem is TLS1.0 that we are all running because Miscrosoft is slow on catching up with the industry. I found only this morning that MS finally rolled out an update for TLS2.0, so if you are manually installing updates go do them now, if you have automatic updates enabled then you are good to go, just give it time to update. TLS is a credit card security protocol, this is why carts are messed up.
Here we go again!
Stop asking these stupid questions for a screen shot! You have the screen shot in the beginning of this thread.
You know very well this is a bottom feeding tactic that is very intentional and it is so defeating from a business model point of view. If my employee was responsible for this it would be their last day….
I looked at my shopping cart after considering a free trial of an 'add on' but did go any futher.
I now gert a daily reminder pop up that there is an item in my cart. I delete it and close the window.
The next day I get the same reminder and the item is back in my cart.
How do I really empty my cart and permanently stop this annoyance?
Hello, John.
Was it through an AVG app or on AVG website did you add an item to shopping cart? Please provide a screenshot (http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) of the reminder pop up to assist you further. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Dec 2019 and I'm getting the same thing day after day. I see there's no fix on this thread

Thank you for providing the screenshots John,
Please let me know the version of AVG Program (open AVG Protection > Menu > about) installed and also let me know if you want to keep AVG Antivirus Free for your computer protection.
Regards,
Alok.

I agree with the previous comment.
I felt that I was not going to get anywhere. Questions are not answered by questions. They are a blocking tactic used to create confusion and change he subject.
I found my own answer. Its all too obvious. Uninstall. Its a sorry state of affairs when anti-virus behaves like malware. I was rebuilding a PC that I use for work because I use Windows software.
I have a four PC license due for renewal in eleven month's time. Its no longer a certainty that I will stick with AVG (or Windows come to that).
I am prepared to accept 'inertia selling' but repeatedly refilling an emptied cart and then hassling me to attend to it is unacceptable and has damaged my trust. I note that my email address (one of several) is the one that generates spam and I wonder if that is for historical reasons, coincidence or data sharing. Time to close it!
Avast/AVG management please note. Offended clients are likely to vote with their feet.
Happy 2019 everyone!
