I received an AVG Pop Up this a.m. which clearly indicated that, regardless of having AVG Internet Security installed, I need a VPN in order to shop online securely!
I mean what the hell am I paying for… I though having AVG Internet Security was sufficient to safeguard me whilst shopping online but now I'm told that a VPN is needed as well???
I wish now I'd taken a screenshot of the pop up, but I didn't, so don't ask me for one.

I appreciate your explanation but i already know the difference between the Security and the Privacy.
My point was that the pop up implied that the VPN was NEEDED for online shopping SECURITY as opposed to it being a choice for PRIVACY.
If it appears again, i will send you a screenshot of it which cleary infers that VPN is a necessity not an option when shopping online.

That might be a promotional offer from us to purchase AVG Secure VPN. However, you can follow my previous instruction to disable our promotional pop ups.
You can also post the screenshot here on your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
