We are sorry to hear about the inconvenience caused. Do you have AVG Anti virus free installed on your PC or just PC Tuneup? Please note that AVG shredder feature will appear in the context menu only when you install AVG anti virus free, AVG anti virus or AVG Internet security.
And to resolve your PC slowness issue, please open AVG PC Tuneup, click on each component to analyze the recommendations by PC Tuneup and apply the necessary settings to optimize your PC. Thank you.

I have 2 problems with AVG.
1. On my Recycle bin I often loose the ability to shred file securely with AVG (I just have the option to empty the bin).
2. I used PC Tune Up as recommended by my AVG software, since using this I have noticed it has done the complete opposite, in fact despite having an Intel I3 processor and 8gb of RAM my machine is running slower than my original Amstrad purchased in the 80s, I understand from a colleague that there was a problem with AVG software, any help would be appreciated I am using Windows 8.
