I rarely see side-by-side errors on a computer. Usually it is caused by bad memory and is always accompanied by many other issues.
AVG products seem to like generating your own side-by-side issues. I have numerous healthy computers that fail to install AVG because of side-by-side errors.
Also, all of my customers AVG admin consoles generate this error when upgrading the AVG admin software to 18.x:
Activation context generation failed for "C:\Users\ADMINI~1.OCA\AppData\Local\Temp\2\7zSCB26C8AF\avgrdtesta.exe". Dependent Assembly AVG.VC140.MFC,processorArchitecture="amd64",publicKeyToken="f92d94485545da78",type="win32",version="14.0.23918.0" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis
I have gone round and round over the past 10 years with support and Microsoft on this and it's "YOUR" assembly "AVG.VC140.MFC" that is generating the problem everywhere.
