Since it is a premium support, the charge for the service will be asked to provide assistance.
However, if you provide us with the phone number that you dialed for contacting us, it will be easy for us to confirm which support you have reached for.
Regarding the virus issue, may I know you confirm that "Sigma Ransomware" have infected your PC and blocking AVG?

I am and have been a long time user of AVG services, I have had need of tech support once in many years, but I contacted tech support a second time today, in attempt to obtain information related to the removal of a "Sigma Ransomware virus".
I was told that the virus is blocking the AVG software from doing what it was designed to do. I was also informed that a fee would be assessed for their efforts in removing said virus (or unblocking their software). This fee was more than that which is requested by the scammers.
With that being said, I will use other than AVG removal methods that will cost me less in the future, I will also remove all AVG software from my laptop and review other services . . .
