Slow connections with Ultimate package

I signed up for and installed AVG Ultimate with the four programs provided.
Since then my internet connections have been as slow as a snail.

How did you confirm that AVG is causing this slowness on your computer?
Did you check by disabling AVG programs?
May I know since when you are facing this issue please?
