Have you tried turning off AVG protection temporarily to check with the issue?

Please follow the below steps to disable AVG protection:
1. Right-click the AVG icon in the system tray next to the clock.
2. Move the slider to temporarily disable AVG.

Is it happening only on a particular browser? Please try to surf the internet using a different browser to check if it loads faster.

Ever since I downloaded AVG, my google searches take forever or don't even open - I would like to know how to fix this - AVG seems to be more of a hassle than anything.
