Slow loading web pages since AVG Ultimate installation

I recently purchased AVG Ultimate, and since installing it, on my laptop with Window 7 and internet explorer 11, web pages take longer than one minute to load.
If I turn off AVG Internet Security protection, the pages are loaded instantly.
Anyone know what the problem is and how to solve it?
