Slow on Startup

From your description, we assume that you're referring to your AVG TuneUp program. In this case, we request you to undo the changes made by your AVG TuneUp and check if the issue persists.

Also, let us know if you have another antivirus software installed on your PC. It is generally not recommended to use more than one security solution on a single system. They will compete for resources, which may result in slowdowns, crashes or in no protection at all.
If you do not have a conflicting antivirus software, please monitor if AVG is running a virus scan on your PC which consumes more resources than usual.
We'd also like to inform you that our shields will continuously run in the background, keep scanning some thousands of files every minute as you use the computer.

I am only using AVG so there cannot be an problems there.
I will try your suggestion and let you know.
Also does AVG have an issue with localservicenonetworkfirewall which takes up a lot of resource at startup.

Request for help from AVG users
Sorry but I am not a technical person so bear with me.

I am running AVG software and since loading the last version that puts items to sleep until needed I am having a very slow responses at boot up.
I have looked at Task Manager and see that localservicenonetworkfirewall is taking up between 20 and 30% for a period of time after start up. Is this a conflict with AVG software.
Can you assist me please as I am really fed up with the slow response of my computer at start up. I should point out that I am running an i7 processor with lots of RAM and Cache.

Since the AVG October 5 update my computer takes forever to load programs, it seems like avg is constantly running. I have tried restarting computer, but still the same issue. 
I use AVG only and I usually don't have any problems, but since this update I am getting very frustrated. Please fix this issue! Thank you
