Slow Shut down and Slow Boot Up after Installing New AVG

The brand new AVG (Paid 3 years) version of AVG this morning. It now takes 2 minutes for the computer to shut down and 2 minutes to boot up again. This was not happening prior to the installation. I am very upset about this- and need a fix. I can't wait two minutes (or more) to have this happen.  Thanks for any suggestions before I have to call AVG tech support.

Joan, I understand your concern. I see from your record that you have active subscription of AVG Internet Security. If you have this issue in your Windows computer, then I can emailed you a link to get connected to the AVG remote support. Please follow the same and the remote team will install the correct product for you.
