You may experience a slower internet connection when using AVG Secure VPN. This is because a VPN encrypts traffic and data before sending it to a server. Depending on the distance and capacity of the server, this process may cause a slightly slower, but safer, internet connection.
Have you tried changing the location/server of your AVG Secure VPN & check if the issue persists?
Please try connecting to one of the 'P2P' or "Streaming' servers.
Also, check & mention the program version of your AVG Secure VPN.

Every time I enable my AVG Secure VPN it SIGNIFICANTLY s l o w s my internet download speed. Additionally in keeps temporarily suspending my internet connection for 4-10 seconds at a time…HELP…

I had tried switching locations…
but according to speedtest.net with AVG Ult. off my download speed was 3.65 Mbps, with AVG off my download speed was 237 Mbps…that was SIGNIFICANT
However now that I've selected P2P, NY, with same test, AVG on download is 201 Mbps, AVG off speed is 241 Mbps…that seems more reasonable
I'm hoping that P2P is the solution…I may check into Streaming later…
