Smart card authentication

Hello Frederik. Could you please elaborate what do you mean by smart card authentication?

Hello Avinash,
Here in Belgium we have digital identity cards, which we can use to log into government sites.
(to fill in taxforms, check our pension, report issues to the police,…)
These are smartcards that contain a RSA keypairs and a matching certificate, which are used for SSL/TLS client side authentication.
Unfortunatelly this authentication fails when the online shield is active, and for now we just disable it, but I wonder if there is another solution. (e.g. is there an option to whitelist some SSL sites from being monitored).

Authentication using a smart card fails when the AVG online shield with scan encrypted network is active.
Is there a way to make them work together?

Frederik, if it is a paid version or a 30 day trial version of AVG you are using, you can add a n URL to AVG's exceptions list as described in http://avgclick.me/AddException .
