SMB:CVE-2017_0144 (Expl) virus

Hello Chasrlie,
From your previous contact, I see that our senior technician confirmed that "it looks like Petya Ransomware is trying to enter in your computer via Samba (SMB), and AVG is blocking it from getting in". We suggested you to download and install all Microsoft security patches and updates. May I know if you have downloaded and installed all windows patches and it's updates. If not, then I request you to contact Microsoft directly (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us) and ask them for latest windows patches and it's updates.
Best regards,
Alok.

Hello,
I have this exact problem now, from about 10 days I recive everyday alerts of this infection, I always kept my AVG Internet security updated, and windows last update was 2017/12/27 (now is updated to yesterday).
Without apparently reason it start to send this messages.
Deep scan don't find anything.

The same problem of this thread and others

I'm getting the same error

For the last few weeks I have been in touch with AVG about a SMB:CVE-2017-0144 (Expl)  virus.  The issue has not been resolved.  Several days ago I had 2 Blue screen crashes.  I must get this issue resolved before my computer crashes for good.

Luca, I understand your concern.

Please send me the screenshot http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot of the AVG threat message, click on "More details" from the pop-up and then take the screenshot.

So, we will check the location of this threat and assist you further.

Yes Chasrlie, you're correct. If you check the silent mode then you will no longer get the alerts from AVG (even your computer is infected). So please uncheck the silent mode box at first (open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > general > uncheck silent mode and save the settings). If you wish to manage the frequency of pop ups directly from the app (please open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > general > Pop ups > manage your pop ups).
Best regards,
Alok.

I have downloaded all the support downloads there are and still my issue remains unresolved. I have run countless scans with no difference.  This issue needs to be addressed before I don't have a computer I need AVG for.
